Bladerunner 33 – “ENTERPRISE ”

I love the way multihull designs can be adapted to very specific purposes and excel beyond expectation. The design spec here called for a cat built to catch marlin on ultralight tackle in the Bay of Islands, NZ. the result – a foil-assisted trailerable 33′ aluminum pilothouse that can cruise at 28 knots getting 3 mpg with a range of nearly 1000 miles at cruise! Top speed so far is 46 mph with 4 fishermen and tackle aboard. This is a fishing Mercedes. She goes by other power boats like they are standing still – especially when the going gets rough. She will run in the high 30’s in surprisingly choppy conditions. The Bladerunner even has snorkeled engines so that she can back down into a sea at speed to keep a fish from spooling off. After few years fishing in New Zealand, she was packed in a container and shipped to Seattle. Now the result is the best fishing platform in the Northwest – possibly the world. She’s got everything you need to bring in the salmon, halibut, ling cod, crab, shrimp. . . with the speed, toughness and sea-kindly performance to get you on the fish and back when everyone else is still at the dock. With her high efficiency and speed she also doubles as an excellent inter island (or inside passage) commuter. This rare, proven, professionally built Bladerunner catamaran
